Latest reviews of Oxford Learner’s Academic Dict app for iPhone and iPad

Too expensive
I use the dictionary feature on my iPhone very frequently, however, its a lengthy process to open the Notes app, type the word, and click a few times for each definition. Hence, I decided to get the Oxford dictionary app to have the same definitions as the built-in dictionary but without the hassle. Its a great app, however, the free version has about 50 words that you can try out. All other words youd like to define require $35 or so to unlock. No thank-you. Id rather suffer through the few clicks rather than pay such a hefty amount for a dictionary.
Not impressed at all
I gave it a 2 star, just because someone spent the time to put it together. On the 3rd word search, whoop, the word penny is not even listed, I tried to explain to my 9 year old,why a dictionary is incomplete. Not worth the money
Great reference app for IELTS test takers
Great resource with full of features.
One of a kind
I own both the paper dictionary and the app. A fantastic resource for academically-oriented English learners.
